Let me start off by saying WOW The General Store is amazing, anyone who has ever traveled up north will understand this, growing up spending summers in North Carolina and Tennessee this was always the kind of place to visit. Right when you walk in Marybeth will greet you and help find just what you are looking for.
The set up and creativity is amazing you will immediately feel like a kid in a candy store, there is a wide variety of old fashion candies that appeals to everyone young and old, there are also some other great novelty items be sure to check them out. The Bluebell ice cream is another one of my favorites and not to mention the prices are great.
After you get your ice cream cone or soda float you can have a seat at the counter or head to the back when you can enjoy a game of checkers (The Table Size) always a favorite. Be sure to stop in take a look and try something new or something that you haven't tried since you were a kid.
